Dear Families,

As we close out the first quarter of the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the strength and spirit of our Lansing community—and the deep roots that connect us all. T.F. South is more than a school; it’s a living legacy shaped by generations of families, educators, and students who have poured their hearts into building something lasting. Whether you’re a longtime Red Wolf or just beginning your journey with us, you are part of that story.

Our families are the heartbeat of our school. Your support, involvement, and resilience make everything we do possible. From cheering in the stands to volunteering behind the scenes, you help us create a culture where every student feels seen, supported, and proud to belong.

As we move into the second quarter, we’re excited to celebrate together:

Homecoming Week is October 20^th – 25^th —a time to honor tradition, ignite school spirit, and welcome alumni back to the pack. We hope to see you at the game and all the festivities that remind us why being a Red Wolf is something special.

Our very first Halloween Candy Crawl is on October 30^th, for our future Red Wolves, ages 2–10! Join us for a fun, family-friendly event filled with treats, smiles, and a glimpse of the joy that awaits them at T.F. South. It’s a beautiful way to connect with our youngest community members and show them what it means to grow up Red.

As we celebrate milestones and look ahead, let’s continue to lean on each other, lift each other up, and honor the legacy we’re building—together.

Queridas familias,

Al cerrar el primer trimestre del año escolar, quiero tomar un momento para reflexionar sobre la fortaleza y el espíritu de nuestra comunidad de Lansing—y las raíces profundas que nos conectan. T.F. South es más que una escuela; es un legado vivo formado por generaciones de familias, educadores y estudiantes que han entregado su corazón para construir algo duradero. Ya sea que hayas sido parte de los Red Wolves por años o que estés comenzando tu camino con nosotros, eres parte de esta historia.

Nuestras familias son el corazón de nuestra escuela. Su apoyo, participación y resiliencia hacen posible todo lo que hacemos. Desde animar en las gradas hasta ofrecerse como voluntarios detrás de escena, ayudan a crear una cultura donde cada estudiante se siente visto, apoyado y orgulloso de pertenecer.

Al comenzar el segundo trimestre, estamos emocionados de celebrar juntos:

La Semana de Homecoming será del 20 al 25 de octubre—una oportunidad para honrar la tradición, encender el espíritu escolar y dar la bienvenida a nuestros exalumnos. Esperamos verlos en el partido y en todas las festividades que nos recuerdan por qué ser un Red Wolf es algo especial.

Nuestro primer Candy Crawl de Halloween será el 30 de octubre, para nuestros futuros Red Wolves de 2 a 10 años. Acompáñenos en este evento familiar lleno de dulces, sonrisas y una muestra de la alegría que les espera en T.F. South. Es una hermosa manera de conectar con los miembros más jóvenes de nuestra comunidad y mostrarles lo que significa crecer como Red Wolf.

Mientras celebramos estos logros y miramos hacia adelante, sigamos apoyándonos mutuamente, elevándonos unos a otros y honrando el legado que estamos construyendo—juntos.
